Miniature Yarn Christmas Beanies

The north wind doth blow, and we shall have snow! Just because you don't live in snowy country doesn't mean you can't play pretend.

Let's create some warm memories this holiday season by making some miniature Christmas beanies!

Whether it's for hanging on the Christmas tree, topping a package, or strung together to make a winter garland, these miniature yarn beanies are an easy and inexpensive craft project for the whole family. You don't even have to pull out your knitting needles for this easy technique.


You'll need:

  • Heavy cardstock

  • Glue or double-sided tape

  • Yarn (Use soft and thick yarn, ideally, to achieve that fluffy pom pom)

  • Scissors

Steps:






Cut the cardstock into strip.

(according to your desire size)















Glue the edge of the strip to itself to create a kind of tube.













Loop yarn around card tube.

Pull ends through loop.














Repeat Step 3.

(You may mix with 2 or more colors of yarn)













Tie the top of the bundle together

- like a ponytail.














Trim the ends to make a nice and round pom pom.
